since 2012! With just a few members at the beginning,
we have now grown to over 90 members.

Where is our club based?We are based in Glenrothes, Fife. Most of our training is undertaken within the Michael Woods Leisure Centre, but we also train at the Fife Cycle Park for our cycle sessions. In Summertime, we have a social meet (no coaching) at Lochore Meadows for open water swimming.

What are the costs involved in joining GTC?Joining The GTC membership is only £20 per annum. Our swim sessions and run sessions are held at Michael Woods Leisure Centre, Glenrothes, Fife - which provide high-quality facilities. The swim session is £3.50 per session and a run session is £2.50. You pay these when you book online, so the costs vary on how often you want to join sessions.

Can I join The GTC if I have never done triathlon training before?Yes! The Glenrothes Triathlon Club welcomes athletes of all levels, whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned triathlete. Our experienced coaches are passionate about helping you reach your goals and will work with you to develop in your training that suits your individual needs and abilities. Our supportive community of fellow athletes and coaches will provide you with the motivation and guidance you need to achieve your best. So whether you're new to triathlon or looking to take your training to the next level, we invite you to join us at GTC and discover the joy of multisport training.

Is there age limitations for a membership?Yes, there is a minimum age requirement for membership at GTC Sports Club. Members must be at least 18 years old to join the club, but we do welcome anyone at any age over this! We have this policy is in place to ensure a safe and secure environment for all members, and to adhere to legal regulations regarding minors and sports facilities. The GTC values the safety and well-being of its members, and strives to provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for individuals of all ages who are interested in fitness and sports. What are the training sessions offered and when do they occur?We offer three disciplines for training: swim, run, and cycle. Sessions are held three times a week, with two swim sessions on Mondays from 6pm - 7pm and 7pm - 8pm. A run session on Wednesdays from 6:30pm - 7:30pm, and another swim session on Thursdays from 7pm - 8pm. In the summer, we meet at 6pm in Lochore Meadows Country Park on Fridays for a social swim. Please note these are not coached and undertaken at your own discretion for safety. Our sessions are designed to improve your fitness and performance in each respective discipline.

Does GTC offer any events or activities for members?Yes, GTC regularly organizes various events and activities for its members. Some examples of these events include a Duathlon, a Super Series and not forgetting some fun at social gatherings. These events are designed to provide our members with opportunities to improve their skills, connect with other members, and have fun. Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive community that fosters a love for sports and promotes an active and healthy lifestyle. What types of races and events does GTC participate in?Our members have participated in a variety of races and events, ranging from local charity runs to extreme triathlons like Celtman and Ironman. They have also completed races such as Aberfeldy Multi Sport Festival, Geordie Man, Lakesman, Chicago Marathon, Ibiza Marathon, Aix-En-Provence, Bishop Briggs, Women's 10k, Edinburgh Marathon Festival, Highland Fling, and many more. At GTC, we believe that variety is key, and we encourage our members to challenge themselves and try new events.
