Our main training base is Michael Woods Sports Centre in Glenrothes.
Monday is Swim Night. We have 3 x 1 hourly sessions running from 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm. To participate in our swim sessions we request you are able to swim a minimum of 2 lengths front crawl. If you can do this you can come along and we will assess what group you would best fit into unless of course you are a competent swimmer anyway! Please bring £3 to give to Coach on poolside as this covers the cost of lane hire. Book in advance from Sunday evening here
There is also the option of a recovery paced run of around 4/5 miles before or after the 7pm or 8pm swim sessions.
Wednesday is Run Night and during the winter months (January – April). Sessions will vary from trail runs, fartlek sessions, track sessions, time trails etc.
From early May this changes to Open Water Swimming at Lochore Meadows. After the swim there is the option of a recovery paced run in the grounds of the park.
Thursday night is another Swim Night and at present there is only a 1 hour session between 7.00 – 8.00 pm. It is primarily for those who may have missed out on the Monday session due to numbers.
Saturday/Sunday Weekend training varies from Road Cycling, Mountain Bike sessions, Run sessions or a mix of both. Weather and Events can have an impact on weekend training so it’s decided week on week.
Over the past 2 years we have booked a hall for Members to participate in Turbo cycling sessions during the winter months. These normally take place on either a Tuesday or Wednesday evening and run over a 4-6 week block, more if demand dictates.
